For more than twenty years, De Mangerie has been giving its guests a wonderful holiday feeling. From the warm welcome by Els to chef Kristof’s dishes inspired by memories of their many travels, Bruges suddenly feels far away. On the plate, local ingredients are delicately combined with global influences, especially from the East. Flavours such as yuzu and tikka masala are expertly paired with local vegetables and North Sea fish. Pan-fried skrei with crispy skin, for example, is served with leek and carrot brushed with chimichurri, pickled onion, plump mussels and a rich beurre blanc sauce. The tasting menu is a journey in itself, both adventurous and comfortingly familiar. A true classic!

We now rework some bestsellers from the past 20 years, local where possible, supplemented with high-quality produce from around the world. This results in a beautifully balanced menu.
All this takes place in a cosy urban setting, a melting pot where locals, foodies, businessmen and tourists come together, regardless of age or occasion.
